Today I used my Pi4 to FreeCAD a design for my new $250 3D resin printer with tough resin.
10 years ago I used a $100,000 3D UV resin printer to print stuff that shattered if I dropped them.
Last year I used a Pi4 to drive via bCNC a CNC and laser that was also less than $300.
I used to send that off to guys with a $250,000 CNCs and $100,000 lasers.

Wonder what I can do with a few Pi5, I suspect 2 or 4GB will be good enough.
I could use the Pi5 1GB as 3D file file server?
The cost of the Pi5 is no longer relevant if used for near commercial and production prototyping.
Can Pi's replace more expensive equipment, of course not, but they are fun for DIYselfers.

They are fun, how much do people pay for fun?
