Exactly so. It's usually pretty easy to convert the C examples to equivalent BBC BASIC code, but if you need help with any specific case you can ask here.In particular, the arguments and so forth are all the same. It's just a matter of figuring out how the BBC Basic and C data types match up.
Something which currently doesn't exist (as far as I know) is a PIO Assembler for BBC BASIC. I don't suppose that would be terribly difficult to write (in BASIC), and it could be distributed in the form of a library, but it needs somebody who wants it enough to write it!
