I caught something new, I connected the reader to rpi 5 and within 1 second I typed the lsusb command and the reader was listed, then I ran the lsusb command again and the reader disappeared again, I think there is a hub structure in the reader and as you mentioned, the reader may be blocked as in xhci notifications
