You probably don't need the "x", "cd", or "db" versions of the fixup4 or start4 files. The "x" version is for the legacy camera driver (eXtra), the "cd" version is a minimum GPU memory version (Cut Down). I can't remember what the "db" version is.
That's probably enough to get you booting a basic system, but you might need some of the files from the overlays directory to get all hardware running.
